Manufacturing process input/output status

MOBIS is quantitatively measuring and analyzing emissions and the main raw materials and energy input necessary for the production process. Using the data, we assess the overall impact on business operations and come up with effective countermeasures to reduce the environmental impact which occurs in all areas of business operations.

Greenhouse Gases Emission Management

HYUNDAI MOBIS has been carrying out assessments of enterprise greenhouse gas emission, statistical analyses, and DB development through regular updates ever since the establishment of Mobis Greenhouse-gas Management System (MGMS) in 2011. We also conduct inspections by third parties following the ISO14064 (International Standard for Voluntary GHG Emissions Inventories and Verification) qualification principle to secure objectivity. We manage the data systemically so that it can be used for governmental or internal corporate review.

Efficient Energy Management

HYUNDAI MOBIS established the Global Mobis Energy Management System (GMEMS) in 2015 for efficient energy management and reduction of wasteful usage. The usage, conditions, costs and quality of energy used in all facilities and equipment are measured, compared, and analyzed in real time.

Hazardous Substance Management

HYUNDAI MOBIS established the Mobis Chemical Management System (MCMS) in 2014 in order to prohibit hazardous substances in the products and systemically manage chemical substances that are currently used. We have applied MCMS to models produced in the country.
We have established management standards for substance information meeting the requirements for the completed automobiles at the research and development stage. Currently, we analyze and review the maleficence of developed products. Once maleficence is detected, subjective parts meeting the specifications are immediately replaced or changed. Moreover, we collect data on the status of hazardous substance usage in automobile parts and perform regular monitoring along with substance analysis in order to appropriately respond in case of any changes.
HYUNDAI MOBIS plans to expand and apply MCMS to its globally manufactured automobile models and automobile models for global partners.

Environment Certification Status

Our 29 plants and 29 workplaces for parts, both domestic and international and including the headquarters and research institute, have obtained ISO14001 (International Organization for Standardization for Environmental Management System). We also conduct reexaminations for the certificate at each workplace to inspect and improve environmental management status.
