MOBIS founded an archery team in 1985
In a bid to enhance national prestige and
develop amateur sports.
The archery team has made some outstanding achievements. In the first year of the foundation, Kim Jin-ho won a medal at the World Archery Championship. In 1996, Kim Kyung-uk won two gold medals in individual and team competitions at the Atlanta Olympics. In 2008, at the Beijing Olympics, Ju Hyun-jung won a gold medal in the team competition, bringing honor to the country.
In addition to those remarkable feats, the team is renowned among business archery teams worldwide for its record number of wins in a wide array of international events and for its steady and excellent performance. What’s more, a compound bow team was founded in 2010 following the establishment of a recurve bow team to allow Korean archery to take a bigger leap forward.
Through its endless and unrelenting efforts going forward, the MOBIS Archery Team will seek to maintain its initiative in developing Korean archery and continuing its domination of the world.
