MOBIS opened the on-the-job education course which it developed on its own to create a holistic understanding of processes and duties, and thus a more effective education.

Main training courses

  • New employee education

    New employees who become MOBIS members by winning fierce competition receive an intensive training for the following two years (three years for R&D recruits). They can build a sense of fellowship with other newly-employed colleagues in the beginners’ education program, participate in the conference retreat training program held in Jejudo Island, and visit China for an overseas training. Each course helps them better understand the company and gain knowledge on auto parts.

  • Mentoring system

    A ‘mentor-mentee’ program is in operation to assist the new employees with their adaptation to MOBIS. The new members can find answers to their problems with their duties and other inquiries from their colleagues.

  • Specialist training course

    All employees of MOBIS can set up a plan for their own growth through a systematic capacity diagnosis. An open course offered by in-house specialists and an online education system have been established, and employees with a similar goal can form a regular study group.

  • Intra-company transfer employee training course

    Numerous overseas branches of MOBIS have an intra-company transfer employees who have actively cooperated with the local employees. In this course to strengthen a global leadership, nominees are educated on serving as a pivotal leader in overseas as well as foreign languages and cultures.

  • Overseas branch exchange conference

    MOBIS has held overseas branch exchange conferences to share job-related know-how with talented individuals invited from other countries. Similar to the intra-company transfer employees, the invited foreign employees get to have a more holistic understanding of Korea and the company, and later play an important role in their respective regions after an active exchange with Korean employees.

Training of New Researchers

The importance of automotive electronics combined with IT is increasing every day.

Hyundai MOBIS is strengthening related education for newly employed researchers in order to secure reliability and quality of automotive parts. Researchers are to receive a total of 4-6 weeks of training in mechanisms and value analysis (VA) using HW, SW and CATIA according to their specialization and job. Lecturers consist of Hyundai MOBIS’s in-house instructors at the doctoral level, and professors from prestigious universities in Korea. IDP Support Program

  • Study group

    The company supports an employee group that selects a subject (job, area, industry) and shares knowledge voluntarily. Since beginning in 2015, more than 100 groups are being operated as of now. Various teaching materials are provided and externalexperts are invited for training.

  • S-OJT(Structured On the Job Training)

    S-OJT implies systematic on-site job training. S-OJT is a training program that is implemented in the field or a similar setting by experienced employees in order to develop the capabilities of newly hired employees. Unlike general lectures, this program isnoteworthy for enabling employees to voluntarily operate the program on an as-needed basis. S-OJT can be divided into OJT, benchmarking, webinar and talent donation. S-OJT can be extended to a regular course based on the results of satisfactionsurveys.

  • Support for acquiring job certification

    The company supports the course registration expense, teaching material costs and test application fee, if the training and test are related to their job. The program is designed to give employees an opportunity of self-initiated competence development and expertise acquisition.

  • Others

    Job experts are nurtured who can act as role models to trainees. In addition, trainees can learn the latest trends of the industry and business area by attending the program provided by the specialized educational institutes at home and abroad.
